THRAPP THEATRICS
Thrapp Theatrics is a three-time Emmy nominated production company founded by Jacki Thrapp.
Our scrappy team has a proven track record of producing indie projects that generate the same amount of attention as big budget powerhouses.
The company is most known for producing Gianmarco Soresi’s three-time Emmy nominated film Shelf Life on Amazon Prime. NPR named it a “Top Comedy Special” of 2020 and the audio version of the stand-up special debuted at No. 7 on Apple Music.
Off-Broadway’s Lighthouse: An Immersive Drinking Musical, which poured free shots to audience members during Irish dance numbers, sold out at Scotland’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe before it jumped Off-Broadway in 2023 and became the longest-running musical at the historic SoHo Playhouse. The musical, written and composed by Jacki Thrapp with additional material by Billy Recce, was named an “audience acclaimed show” by TodayTix, TDF placed the production as a “Top Off-Broadway Show” of the summer and it was considered for multiple Drama Desk awards.
Our founder spent over a decade working as a journalist by day and producer by night. Jacki’s time in media taught her how to create the perfect pitch and press release that could catch anyone’s attention. She has collaborated with influencers to boost ticket sales for smaller live shows, sold product placement to sponsors for a permanent shout-out in scripts and/or on stage and created a unique social media strategy that surged engagement and followers for every single show she’s worked on.
Other notable projects include the Edinburgh Festival’s 5-star comedy Art Of Selling Out, Good Morning New York: A New Musical (2020), Chick Flix Off-Broadway, Vern Off-Broadway, The Super Crazy Funtime Show (Off-Broadway and Amazon Prime), Christmas Pitch (Audible) Hanukkah Haunting (Audible), Masks & Musicals and produced country music that has obtained nearly 300,000 streams on Spotify alone and was even featured on Spotify’s “New Music Friday” Editorial playlist.
